All-round Trekking Pole: Helinox Ridgeline LBB135

Support in seconds

Stable and durable, yet light and compact – this is Ridgeline LBB135 by Helinox. No matter if hiking, longer trekking trips or ski tours: Thanks to its ingenious locking mechanism, the telescopic pole is ready for use within seconds and offers fast support – a genuine all-rounder.

The pole is divided into four segments and measures up to 135 cm in extended form. When telescoped, it is 55 cm long and thus can easily be attached to any smaller backpack. The abbreviation LBB describes the built-in Lever and Button locking mechanisms. As soon as the buttons of the two lower parts are snapped in place, the length can be adjusted quickly and easily with the lever lock on the upper part. To return the poles to their compact form, simply open the lever, retract the poles and close the lever again. The buttons do not have to be operated manually – the pole does that for you. Within seconds LBB135 is ready to go or ready to stow.

Thanks to modern TH72M aluminium alloy by DAC, LBB135 is not only light but also very sturdy. The all-rounder only weighs 235 grams and therefore offers great versatility, no matter whether you are on a relaxed hike, on a more challenging mountain trip or on a longer trekking tour.

The unique Helinox “lever rest zone” reduces stress on the lever lock when the pole is collapsed. This is due to the fact that the diameter is slightly smaller in this section. As a result, both the mechanism and its material are relieved of pressure. That prevents the lever from losing tension and thus extends the life span and durability of Ridgeline LBB135.

The extended foam handle provides a comfortable uphill and downhill grip. The straps can be individually adjusted to the wrist. Helinox also offers two additional, exchangeable and larger baskets for use on winter hikes or ski tours – Snow Basket with 80 cm in diameter and Powder Basket with 110 cm in diameter.

Furthermore, Helinox offers a smaller version with a length of 120 cm – Ridgeline LBB120. Both trekking poles are available at a recommended retail price of 180 Euro.
