Till studied economics with an emphasis on tourism. In 1987 he founded “Outdoor” magazine and worked as its editor-in-chief until 1991. He continued working as a freelance journalist and photographer after having quit a position as marketing manager in the bike industry. While working freelance, the idea of founding KGK was born.
Till has travelled to more than 100 countries across the globe and considers himself a passionate gear geek. He is a keen paraglider, but also enjoys trekking, hiking, mountaineering, biking, trail running, cross country skiing, basketball and bike tours. Despite his age, he still likes sleeping outdoors in a tent. As a photographer, he has participated in expeditions with Arved Fuchs. Furthermore, he led several expeditions across the Greenland ice sheet as well as the frozen Lake Baikal.
Till has completed the Transalpine Run, Transrockies Run, Bike Trans Germany, Vasaloppet, Lapponia Hiihto, Arctic Circle Race and various marathons.
At KGK, he takes care of NOVA.
